A plan for saving oak woodlands in El Dorado County has been released for public review and comment.
The revised final draft of the Oak Woodland Management Plan and accompanying environmental study also will be the subject of a public hearing before the Planning Commission at 9 a.m. March 13.
The plan has been prepared to implement a county general plan policy that requires measures to offset the loss of oak trees that must be removed for development and a plan to conserve oak woodlands in El Dorado County.
