Potential buyers of new homes in El Dorado County are getting a strange warning, "Beware of Gunfire." The sign refers to a nearby gun range that has some people on edge.
The development is on 'Green Valley Road' in the town of Rescue.
The developer says that 29 lots will carry potential noise from an outdoor shooting range near the homes.
Several of the residents spoke against the project, stating that they fear that purchasers of the 'Summerbrook' proposed 1.3- 2.2- acre lots wouldn't embrace the rural lifestyle of their neighbors.
The planning commission supported the project by a 3-2 vote.
